Hair Bows

I've been working on these hair bows for the past couple days. They are so fun

to make and I went out of the norm to make some of these. I love the ones that are more than one type of ribbon.

Sweet Cookies

Normally, I'm not tempted by sugar cookies on the counter. But these sugar cookies were oh so yummy. There was almond flavoring in the cookie as well as the frosting. I need to practice more on my technique, but that would require more baking and more cookies to eat and I'm not sure that is a good idea unless there is somewhere I can take them for other people to eat!

Le Jardin Birthday

This is the base I started with for the purse image that ended up on it's own card. I love this paper, and decided that it worked better with a flower from LAD Le Jardin. The sentiment is also from LAD. Happy Friday! Tomorrow some friends are coming over to scrap all day! Woo Hooo!

another Happy Birthday from LAD

May brings a lot of birthdays for our family... so I've been cranking out the birthday cards! There are sparkles on the pink cupcake..what every perfect cupcake should have! Hmmm, a cupcake sounds pretty good right now!

3 x 3

I love little 3x3's, this image started out as a focal point for another card, but in the end, it needed it's own little card. I love this little purse and just had to add the bling to the flower. I added little tiny dots to the "flap" of the purse to give it a little character. I used my coluzzle fo the scallop square, not my favortie way to get scallops, but so much more afforadable and space saving than punches.

Happy Mother's Day

This is what my mom received for Mother's Day this year, and she actually received it on time. I'm becoming horribly more acustomed to sending things late and it being "ok". well, it isn't ok with her and this year, she got it a week early. What looks like black lines across the bottom of the purse, is actually "quilting." I must have forgot to "erase" those lines to guide my sewing machine in a straight line. I made two more purses, but forgot to take pictures of them before I gave them away. I'm amazed at how different all the purses I have made look because of the different fabrics.

Another birthday

I cased this card straight from the SU Magazine demonstrators get. I changed the colors and images and all, but what a fun card! the "make a wish" under the ribbon looks light in this pic, but irl, it is pretty dark. Have a good day!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Dad! This is the card I made for my dad's birthday. I always struggle with making cards for the "boys" in my life. I forgot to take a picture of the matching tin I made him that we filled it with peanuts..his favorite nut. I hope he enjoyed it!

le Jardin, again

I love this card for a couple reasons. It is incredibly simple, yet elegant. I paper pierced the bottom edge of the card front and front isn't the full size of the card. It stops about an inch short of it, and the brown rectangle with the flower hangs over that edge. Something different for me, and I love it. I still am loving Le Jardin and all it's possibilities!

Happy Birthday!

Our family has so many birthdays in May - I used the Lizzie Anne Designs Happy Birthday Set to create most of my birthday cards for the month. I try to get all my cards that need to be sent out done at the beginning of the month. This way there is *hope* that they will get out on time!
