Challenges

I've decided it is time to join in the world of challenges. This is the first time I have ever done one. I'm not thrilled with how it turned out, but I'm hoping for time to play again later today, I'll show this one because I love the ribbon. I used my going grey SU marker to make the lines on it, and I just love that technique. I think we might be doing that for club next week.

New banner

Do you like my new banner? Tricia from Lizze Anne Designs made it for me - it is perfect! Just how I would have done it myself if I knew how! Great job Tricia! I love it! Thank you!

more Jolie Fleurs

I love the colors in this card...it feels so springy and cheerful. It's been too cold here lately. It even snowed a little this week, definately not something normal for the Seattle area. I'm very ready for warmer weather. I used the flowers from LAD In the Back Ground for the top part of the card, and Jolie Fleurs for the center flower and swirl. I colored the flower with a blender pen. I left the inside blank so I would be able to decide later on a sentiment, something I often do. I have more cards in my "blank" file than any other section, what cards do you have the most of?
Supplies: SU Cameo Coral and Morning Marigold ink and cardstock, celery ink, whisper white ink, misc ribbon and eyelets.

Perfect

My set for the month of March was Jolie Fleurs, I've had a lot of fun playing with this set and trying new things. I wanted to create a background stip of paper to match the colors in the photo and to get the feel i wanted for this photo. It's a little dark in this picture, but i love the expressions on everyone face, it was the perfect day (my birthday last year) we were in Hawaii with my family and it was just a great day. I love how well this set lends itself to different feelings based on the images and colors you use. I have a few more samples from this set that I'll share this week.
Have a great day!

Cupcakes

Do you like cupcakes? I love cupcakes! Yummy delicious pink lemonade mini cupcakes...for some reason I don't think they would be as good in a full size cupcake and especially not cake size...what is it about being "tiny" that makes them so apealling! I made these for a baby shower a couple weeks ago - we couldn't say the word "cute" or you lost your pacifier necklace, all you had to do was stand next to the cupcake plate and you were bound to get a few of those necklaces. They were "cute" after all!

It was my birthday last week and this is what I came home to....thanks guys! I love it - especially the cupcakes ballons! I also had club last week and my wonderful friends brought me these wonderful jars full of ribbon. I LOVE ribbon and this was just so thoughtful of them! You ladies ROCK! Thank you!!!! The first image is what we made at club, inside the little white square is a peanut butter cup...yummy! You can't go wrong with peanut buttter and chocolate! hmm - I need to go see if there any any left! The inspiration for this project came from Angie Kennedy Juda's website - Chic n Scratch - the link is to the right.
Have a wonderful St. Patty's Day!

Another Birthday Gift

This is a little gift I made for a friend and neighbor for her birthday last week. I love the ribbon slide from the new hodpodge hardware set from SU...it has some fun stuff in it! I used the So many Scallops and Love and Happiness Rub On from SU sale-a-brations sets and the cake is from the SU Occasions Mini catalog. Colors: SU Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Pumpkin. Have a great weekend!

Easter

This is what I used for my table setting last year at Easter. Inside was filled with jelly beans and on the back is a cute little poem, I can't remember where I found it last year, but it was a big hit with the family!

Couldn't send you Easter Eggs, and candy wouldn't do. Mushy cards just didn't say the things I want them to. So i got you something special and here's the scoop, I found you something very rare, it's genuine Bunny Poop!

one sheet wonder

here is the start of my one sheet wonder. I stamped a few images from Joile Fleurs from Lizzie Anne all over my paper. Then I cut off a strip and colored in part of the image for the Thank You card. Then I embossed with clear ink over the images I stamped and then wiped SU's certainly celery all over my paper to get the green background. I love the effect and the difference between the two cards. I haven't made anything else yet with the paper (except a small journal to match the birthday card), so when I make something else, I'll get that posted. Have a great day!

Supplies: Lizzie Anne Designs Jolie Fluers and Sketched Sentiments, In the Background. SU cool carribean, certainly celery ink, close to cocoa and chocolate chip ink, ribbon and markers
