the exciting news....

I've been asked to join the design team of Lizzie Anne Designs! (click on the link at the right) I'm so excited and have been playing with her super fun stamps for a while now. Here is one of the cards I did recently.. I used SU's crystal effects and dazzling diamonds over the baby carriage. I love how it sparkles! Off to play some more!

Pink

These week I've had some time to work some some older photos - these were taken in Oct 2006, so i'm just a little bit behind in my scrapbooking! :) It was fun to have some time to just scrap with no agenda in mind. I have some exciting news to share, but it will have to wait til next week!

Magnets

I've had family in town and not much time for the computer. I did manage to get one thing done while my mom was here - her birthday present. It was lots of fun to make - straight from the SU Sale-a-bration brochure. I had most of the stuff

on hand, just had to get the frame, the magnet board and the marbles. I love making those little marble magnets!

New stuff!!!!

Wow - it's been a while! I got very busy over the holidays and keeping this up fell to last on list of things to do! If anyone was trying to keep up on the journal, let me know and I can send you the rest of the list.

so New Stuff!!! I was given one of Lizzie Anne's new release stamp sets to play with, it is available to purchase on the 7th of January. Tricia is doing a sneak peak of that set today on her blog. So here are some of the things I created...I also made my daughter a tin for her birthday to match the clipboard I made her for Christmas, but she has taken off with it, so when I find it, I'll post it. This was a fun set to play with and the other sets they are releasing are super cute too! Check out the link over to the right!

baking?

Today's question is do you do holiday baking? I love to bake for the holidays. I usually host a cookie swap at the beginning of Dec and I keep baking until Christmas. I love to share fun holiday treats with my family and friends. Here is one of my favorite recipes:

Mint Truffles
1 8oz package cream cheese - room temp
1 package mint oreos (or store brand) - finely crushed
chocolate chips

mix cream cheese and oreos in mixer until well blended. shape into 1" balls - i use my smallest cookie scoop. Chill for 30 minutes. melt chocolate chips and dip the oreo balls into the melted chocolate. I keep the chocolate over low in a double boiler so it doesn't harden. I used about 1 and a half bags this time, but it just depends on how much chocolate you want around the truffle. Chill until hard. (a few hours)

ENJOY!
