a little vantine....or not

A possible card for the hubby for valentine's day, maybe too girly... a possible just because card for your BFF from high school who recently reminded you (and every other person who reads her blog) of several fun things from high school. My BFF and I were once accused of stealing the inflatable ice cream cone from atop the local gas station....umm, we were out of the country when it was stolen (literally on a plane acroos the Atlantic Ocean!) Fun Memories!
This is from LAD's Tutti Fruity and I love the pear! I love the reverse flower. It also uses a sketch challenge, #56 - so it was a while ago but - better late then never! I also used some yummy new paper from My Mind's Eye... I'm getting so good at not hoarding my paper anymore! Those dots in the right upper corner, are Coffee Shimmerz, i used my paper piercing template and filled in the largest holes with shimmerz...it does run so don't drag it!

This is the first card I made with LAD Tutti Ftruiy set and I love it. The cherries all have red shimmerz on them. Have I told you what a great set this is.... the possibilities are endless with it and that makes me like it even more. Great sentiments and great images. I still am not crafting too much, trying to rest my hand. I'm have a rather large pile and long list of things to make, so I'm hoping by resting it lots, it will heal quick and i'll be back to crafting soon!

Those are clouds in lower right corner and above the plane on the image panel. I love the sentiment with this plane....so perfect for Valentine's day that is just around the corner. This is another great image from LAD Things That Go. Have you checked out the Lizzie Anne Design blog? they post all sorts of fun stuff on there!

For my youngest daughter's birthday I felt like I dropped the ball on decorating. For her sister's birthday we decorated the whole house. So I decided to make her a special chair cover. Not bad for 15 minutes...I'm going to change out the ribbon that ties it, but overall, I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Not bad for one-handed sewing! And she loved it! I wanted it to fit any chair, so I didn't make a full chair-cover, just a long peice of fabric hemmed on the edges and tied to the side of the chair. I may someday go back and add some decorations along the bottom edges, but didn't do at this point...I think it will get used one everyone's birthday. My girls loved it and that made me happy!

another sample from LAD's new release of Things that go. I really like the train in this set. Maybe it is becuse my dad has always worked for a railroad, and now the rest of my immediate family works for a railroad. This is for my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom!

last sneak peak

Another fun set - I usually don't like Valentine's sets - but I really like this one. I love the birds! I love the vases, and really every image in this set. These pages are from a cardkeeper book that I'm working on. I often make cards well in advance of when I need them, but then when it comes time to send them, I can't find them! If you want directions on how to make one of these, let me know and I can get them to you.

This is the last day of the sneak peaks. I love the elegance of this set. A little outside the box for me - but so fun to use and push me outside my comfort zone. I covered this flower with cofee shimmerz and I love the way it shimmerz in real life!

So - which set is your favorite? Can you choose?

another peak...

First up - "Things That Go "- so fun and I had to put a girly twist on it! I plan to use this one for Valentine's Day for one of my girls- they will love the shimmery pink and green boat! I used Shimmerz on most of the boat.

This might be my favorite set of this release. Tricia and I talked long ago about the need for a good fruit set. She has really outdone herself! I love this set - way to go! This might even be my favorite card I stamped recently. Um, maybe it's just the picture cause it has wild cherry m&m's in it and well, I love my M&M's. Originally I planned to fill the box that I made with Chocolate covered cherries (like on the card) but the M&M's won! The green ribbon on the card is the same as on the box. I stamped little dots on it and embossed them with white embossing powder.

Sneak Peak Time!

This set is just too much fun! Of course I will most likely say that about the sets I'm going to show. This release is super duper fun! "School Days" has such great images - I love this apple on top of the books! I used one of my favorite layouts and the paper from Becky Higgins School Kit...worked perfectly together!

this makes it hard to sew ( i have a long list of things to sew)
this makes it hard to stamp (did you know it took two hands?)
this makes it hard to type (well slower anyway)
so the posts will be short for a while and hopefully it will get easier to work "around" my non-working left hand. I do have some fun things coming up next week, so stay tuned!
